Bark (Off Leash Dog) Park

Located just east of the Protective Services building on South Street, the off-leash dog park offers a paved parking lot, a space for small dogs, a separate large & small dog area, plus an agility training area. Complimentary bags are provided to keep the area clean.

Vesta Energy Bike Skills Park
4511 Womacks Road Map
Riders in Blackfalds and surrounding area can get excited about the new 12-acre bike park at 4511 Womacks Road. The park has practice trails, balance features such as ladder bridges and logs, a pump track and jumps ranging from two to five feet along with a couple of expert wood jumps.

Centennial Park & Ice Skating Pond

The trail runs around Centennial pond to the park which includes a tree house-themed playground, soccer field, and outdoor basketball court.
To access you can walk, bike or drive and park in the nearby parking lot.
Civic Cultural Centre Pirate Playground

Arrrrrr ahoy there matey! Arr pirate-themed playground is located adjacent to the Town office and Tayles Water & Spray Park and offers convenient parking along Gregg Street.
In the summer months, it is the perfect spot to cool off on those hot days and in winter you can enjoy the magnificent Christmas lights display from November to the beginning of January.
Denise Nielson Memorial Park

Located just north of the Wadey Centre, this scenic and tranquil park has tables, a gazebo, and many beautiful flower beds; making it a great location for special occasion photos or for a picnic.
Friends and families are invited to play a game of lawn darts or giant Jenga that can be signed out from the Visitor Centre.
It is also conveniently located along the TransCanada Trail (TCT) with ample room for parking, creating an ideal staging area for those seeking to explore the TCT and trail system that connects Blackfalds to Lacombe and Red Deer.
Dinosaur Playground

Just east of the parking lot of the Abbey Centre, kids can climb, slide, and explore in this one-of-a-kind playground!
Running alongside the park is the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) which leads right to the indoor portion of the TCT and the second floor of the Abbey Centre.
Willow Park (Harvest Meadows)

This playground can be accessed via the Trans Canada Trail and comprises a large open green space and parking lot.
McKay Ranch Playground

This western-style ranch-themed playground includes a large open green space and parking lot.
Mickey Lang Park

Located on the northside of the Community Centre, this park and playground offers benches, swings, and a climbing structure plus a large open green space. You can have fun tobogganing on the hill behind the Community Centre during the winter months.
The tennis courts are OPEN for the season!
Adjacent to the Community Centre are tennis/pickle ball courts that can be accessed during the following hours:

Optimist All Wheels Park

The Optimists All Wheels Park officially opened on June 2, 2017. Located on the North end of Sterling Industries Sports Park at 4505 Womacks Road, the Optimists All Wheels Park features snakerun/flow bowl with escalating pockets, drop-in turnaround bank with roll-in and transition extension, and much more. Special thanks to the Optimist Club of Blackfalds, whose members raised $250K of the project cost.
Pine Crescent Park

Pine Crescent Park can be accessed via the trail system, has a large open green space and is the site of the Pine Cres Community Garden, Skateboard Park and Outdoor Ice Rink with plenty of parking.
Prairie Ridge Park & Playgrounds

Located in Cottonwood Meadows along Prairie Ridge Ave., this climbing playground is the perfect place to burn off some energy and have some much-needed fun. It also offers nearby parking for your convenience.
Rolling Hills Park

This tot playground and park include basketball hoops, swings, picnic tables, and a large open green space.
Tayles Water Spray Park

Spray Park
A great place to cool off on those hot summer days, Tayles Park is open the Friday after May Long Weekend until the Tuesday after Labour Day Weekend.
Hours of operation are from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and the park has a variety of spray features.
Located next to the Civic Centre pirate ship playground, the park also features a gazebo, washrooms, picnic areas, and tables.
Light Up Blackfalds!
Every Fall, Town staff transform the park into a winter wonderland in preparation of the annual "Light Up Blackfalds" event at the end of November. Come and experience the spectacular music & light show at Tayles Park and have some fun & play at the park!

Tutty Pond Park

The site, thanks to the Tutty family, was created for public enjoyment and integration of the trail system to assist in trail connectivity northward towards Town centre.
The park features outdoor seating, walking trails and a picturesque pond and gazebo.
Valley Ridge Inclusive Playground

It truly takes a village and without the Optimist Club of Blackfalds and Variety Children’s Charity, we were able to create the first fully inclusive playground in Blackfalds.
Located in Valley Ridge on the corner of Vista Trail and Westbrooke Rd, the new structures offer a unique space to be experienced by children with and without disabilities, create opportunities for breaking down barriers through interactive play, and offer teachable opportunities to see a person before their disability. The playground will soon be accompanied by a new soccer pitch and parking lot in the area.
