Centrally located between Calgary and Edmonton and just minutes away from Red Deer, Sylvan Lake and Lacombe, the Abbey Centre offers fitness and fun for all ages with over 41,000 sq. ft. of indoor recreational opportunities.

Explore the tunnels and slides in the 3-story indoor playground, or treat yourself to a quick bite at the concession (Food Services is open during the aquatics season and for special events year-round) after you work out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre while your kids are cared for by childminding.

Get away from the elements and take advantage of the 152-metre indoor track on the 3rd level, overlooking the activities in the triple gymnasium field house. Avid runners, walkers & cyclists will appreciate that the Abbey Centre is the only place in Canada where the Trans Canada Trail travels indoors (entrance on 2nd level).

In the summer months, cool off and have fun in the sun at the outdoor aquatic centre, plan a picnic in the park, let the little ones discover the dinosaurs in the playground, or take in the entertainment at the outdoor amphitheatre.
