Inspired by our neighbours to the north, we would like to announce that we are organizing the very first Chairs for Charity Blackfalds!
We'd like to thank Nowco Home Hardware in Lacombe for providing their resources and expertise to make this year run as smooth as possible!
What is it?
Any participating business or organization will paint/customize an Adirondack chair and sell raffle tickets.
The chairs will be promoted and displayed at the businesses through the month of June and during Blackfalds Days so individuals can purchase raffle tickets for the chair that they desire!
At the end of the event, the raffle tickets and money will be collected, a name will be drawn for each chair, and 100% of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to a local charity.

June 1 - 30: Businesses will showcase their finished chairs
June 10: Raffle tickets go on sale
June 30: Raffle ticket sales end
July 11: Raffle draws!

Official Rules
- Tickets may be purchased and sold in Alberta only.
- Raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person under the age of 18 years. Adult ticket buyers are advised not to write the name of a person under the age of 18 years on the ticket stub.
- Total ticket value is $12,500 and all proceeds will be donated to the listed charity. The purchase of a ticket for $5 is to win the Chairs for Charity Chair indicated on the ticket stub, which has a retail value of $140.
- Ticket orders must be received by 11:59pm on June 30 for guaranteed eligibility for the draw on July 11, 2025.
- Draw will be made at the Civic Cultural Centre at 11:00am on July 11, 2025 at 5018 Waghorn Street | Blackfalds, AB
- Draw will be conducted by entering all ticket stubs into a transparent rotating drum. After rotating the drum a minimum of three times, the winning ticket will be manually drawn from the container in a random manner.
- No ticket refunds will be given, all sales are final.
- The raffle prize will be the Chairs for Charity chair indicated on the ticket stub. There will be one winner per Chair.
- In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The Town of Blackfalds and Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.
- Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email within 7 days of the draw and by mail if they cannot be contacted by telephone or email. The prize winner has one month from the draw date to collect their prize.
- If a winner has been notified by telephone and/or email and/or registered mail and the prize is not claimed within one month, the Town of Blackfalds will contact the AGLC for permission to award the prize to a local charity
