Culture & Beadwork
When:
Community
Participants will learn about the history and cultural
significance of ribbon skirts, ribbon shirts, and beadwork
while creating a beaded lanyard. Through storytelling and
discussion, they will learn about the teachings behind
these garments and their role in Indigenous identity and
culture today.
Following the presentation, participants will create
a beaded lanyard while learning basic beadwork
techniques.
Registration: $45 per participant
(maximum of 12 participants)
All materials are included.
No beading experience is necessary.
