Sponsored by the Heart of Blackfalds Society, this beautiful interactive art display was created in partnership with the Abbey Centre, CTS-Welding & Metal Fabrication students (2023/24) from Lacombe Composite High School, and Comet Welding Ltd. (Lacombe).
The permanent steel heart offers residents and visitors the chance to attach a lock in honour of a loved one, a pet, or a treasured memory!
How it works:
- Find the heart located at the Abbey Centre in Blackfalds. There you will find the heart & QR Code. Scan QR Code to enter information and pay for your $15 Love Lock (all proceeds go towards supporting the Heart of Blackfalds Society).
- Once you’ve received a receipt, you can pick up your lock from Guest Services located at the Abbey Centre.
- You can write, engrave or leave the lock as you wish, and secure it on the heart.
