Support Programs & Services

Christmas Bureau

This collaborative community effort helps eligible Blackfalds families and individuals celebrate and enjoy the holidays through the provision of a Christmas food hamper and gift cards to be used for the purchase of Christmas presents.

To donate, please send, or drop off, contributions at the FCSS office (5018 Waghorn Street).

(Blackfalds FCSS accepts cash, gift cards, and cheque donations (payable to the Blackfalds Food Bank)).

Be sure to include your return address and specify what you are donating for. You will receive a tax receipt within 2 weeks.

Winter Coat Program

Through the generous support of our local partners and residents, this program provides eligible children in Blackfalds with new winter coats.

Eligible families must apply by September 30, 2023.

Back to School Program

Our Back to School program ensures that every student in our community has access to the supplies needed to reach their full academic potential by providing backpacks filled with school supplies for Blackfalds' students in Kindergarten through to Grade 12.

Applications for the program are now closed.


While we currently cannot accept e-transfers, we accept cash, card, and cheque donations to the programs listed above!

If you are writing a cheque, please make it payable to the Town of Blackfalds and use the memo line to list the program you'll donate to.
ex: FCSS/Back to School, FCSS/Winter Coat Program, FCSS/Christmas Bureau

Please send, or drop off, contributions to the FCSS office (Clivic Centre | Lower Level | 5018 Waghorn Street ).

FCSS Subsidized Programs Application Form

Eligible candidates for our subsidized programs must complete the form below and provide:

  • Proof of Identity (Photo ID & Alberta Health Care cards for dependent children)
  • Proof of residency (utility bill or similar showing applicant's address)
  • Proof of current income

See if you are eligible to receive support for programs.

Approval of this application is at the sole discretion of FCSS.  Blackfalds FCSS retains the right to refuse service to applicants based on the information provided or other details found through the application process.  

FCSS will exercise discretion and will ensure that the reputation and good standing of Blackfalds FCSS are upheld.
